The GBV Prevention Forum under Wilmat Development Foundation (WDF) Uganda is currently seeking Passionate individuals to occupy various Volunteer positions worldwide in running/organizing Gender Based Violence Prevention Annual Activities. The GBV Prevention Forum Country Coordinators will support the Secretariat to ensure the effective and timely flow of information between GBV Prevention Forum members, Actors, Partners, Donors and other relevant development and humanitarian actors in their own Countries, and any other Relevant actors as per their reach (i.e. UN, donors, local NGOs and government) and support Forum member organizations to strengthen their impact among their beneficiaries. S/he will be required to regularly attend meetings and do some travel to areas where the GBV Prevention Forum members work (expected 10% travel). The GBV Prevention Forum Country Coordinators will also expected to liaise between the respective national government departments and facilitate the operational issues which Forum Secretariat face from time to time in implementing planned activities. We need 2 Coordinators Per Country (1 Female, 1 Male) so do show your abilities as this is very competitive at the moment. However, You MUST be having enough time on you as a commitment towards this Forum alongside your daily work schedule.

π β’ Any Internationally Recognized University Degree in Human Rights, Social Sciences, International Relations, international development or related technical field.
π β’ 2 -3 years of experience in Related Coordination Work.
π β’ Strong background in working with INGOs and familiarity with key humanitarian coordination forums/mechanisms.
π β’ Proven diplomacy, advocacy and coordination skills.
π β’ Previous background in coordinating or managing a multi-agency consortium is ideal.
π β’ Ability to work under pressure and insecure operating environment.
π β’ Management and leadership experience.
π β’ Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
π β’ Good verbal communication, presentation and networking skills.
π β’ Good research skills and academic ability.
π β’ Strong personnel leadership skills, particularly mentoring skills
