Wilmat Development Foundation is a Non-Profit Organization that focuses on empowering underprivileged communities in Uganda, EA. We are a youth-led Organization that focuses on empowering the underprivileged communities in Uganda. The Organization was found with the aim of building resilient and self-reliant communities through practical skills for sustainable livelihood. We believe that investing in under-privileged people changes the world for generations to come. The foundation seeks to uplift the standards of living of people with programs directly targeting Youth, Women and Children by focusing on the areas of Advocacy, Livelihoods and Research and by placing people at the forefront of change.Since its inception in 2014, WDF Uganda has registered both institutional and capacity development that has been achieved through improved leadership, management and human resource capacity, and in terms of program growth that has been achieved through the introduction and strengthening of climate-related, smart agricultural programs as a way to fight hunger, malnutrition, poverty and to promote food security in rural communities as well as in urban informal settlements, sustainable livelihoods through skills development, humanitarian support, research, policy advocacy focused on proper waste management in urban centers and capacity building for rural communities and institutions of learning. In an effort towards the realization of our Vision, Mission and Objectives, the organization has conducted a series of programs complementing each other in the last three (3) years, including activities such as community assessments to aid in identification of indented target groups, organic smart farming trainings, SRHR (Reproductive Health) Focused trainings, Advocacy focued, financial literacy training for different target groups, as well as skills development programs, entrepreneurship and investment mentorship workshops and trainings in rural and urban communities, secondary schools and Universities.
