The Maisha Mzuri Training Program a Program designed by Wilmat Development Foundation with much interest of Elevating the Employability skills of Young scholars and providing long-life (with fun) community exchange programs to Holiday makers through Hands-on Onsite/Off-site initiatives (At Office, Community & Game-drives) so as to boost their hands on experience.

The program seeks to build capacity of university and college scholars in application of education and career exploration, gaining experience and increasing marketability, networking, increasing professionalism, building practical resume and improving of their communication skills. This is an opportunity to know and experience the work dynamics, internal policies and routine of the organization through community driven initiatives. 

It’s not a secret that Academic research writing is hard to make from uninformed point of view, the Maisha Mzuri Program gives opportunities to all researchers who need assistance on how to write their thesis or research that contributes to not only academic award but also community growth and development.

Are you wondering how to spend your holiday this time? Don’t get bored from home, come and volunteer through the Maisha Mzuri Program. This program welcomes all eligible Holiday Makers, Family visits, Tourists and Retired persons that can give a hand in co-creating community spaces, through hands-on initiatives of your choice in line with WDF’s mission. We are looking for people with a range of background including health, education and business.

This program gives opportunities to those who are interested in generating knowledge for practical community strengthening, gain valuable learning experience, participate in achieving our mission of providing low-cost high impact solutions to the most urgent needs in the community.

EXPECTATIONS FROM THE ENGAGEMENT;

  • Participate in an ongoing Community project that will allow you not only provide beneficial services but also contribute to our Mission.
  • Meet new people, learn about a new culture, live in a new environment and provide meaningful support to those that need it most.
  • Closely collaborate with diverse professionals, our community champions, Partners and dedicated staff who all share the same goal of “Empowering communities with knowledge and skills for sustainable development”.

TIME COMMITMENT NEEDED:

  • The time commitment is very flexible but at least approximately 4-12 weeks.
  • Possible additional time commitment to support committees, according to participant’s availability.
  • Engage in at least One or Two Community projects at hand that speaks to your interests.
  • Be available to provide or facilitate at least one or two community or village training.
  • Co-create at least one community focused project or activity. 
  • Support WDF’s Fundraising efforts for urgent issues at hand prior to travel to host country.
