Who can apply to work with WDF?
Anyone with a passion for community development is welcome — students, graduates, professionals, and international applicants alike. We value diverse perspectives and lived experience over formal qualifications alone.
Are the roles paid?
Internships and volunteer placements are primarily learning-focused and may include a small stipend depending on funding availability. Consultancy and capacity building roles are compensated. All details are discussed during the selection process.
Can I work with WDF remotely?
Some roles — particularly research, consultancy and communications support — can be done remotely. Field-based roles require physical presence in Uganda. We will clarify this during the application process.
How long does the application process take?
Applications are reviewed within 5–7 working days. Shortlisted candidates are contacted for a brief interview or call, after which successful applicants receive an offer letter within 2 weeks of applying.
What regions does WDF operate in?
WDF currently operates in four regions: Central, Eastern, Western, Karamoja and West Nile. Field roles can be placed in any of these locations depending on availability and program needs.
