Are you passionate about empowering individuals through vocational education? Do you possess the expertise to guide and mentor aspiring professionals in the fields of hairdressing, tailoring, fashion, and design? If so, we invite you to apply for the position of Instructor at Maisha Mzuri Vocational Skilling Program, operated under the Wilmat Development Foundation.
We are currently seeking two (2) Hairdressing Instructors and two (2) Tailoring, Fashion, and Design Instructors to join our dedicated team. As an Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in equipping our students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen professions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Possession of a DIT (Directorate of Industrial Training) Certificate is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience of 1-2 years in instructional roles, preferably within the Iganga or Bugweri District.
- Passion for teaching and mentoring, with a commitment to student success.
- Female instructors are highly encouraged to apply, as we strive for gender inclusivity in our programs.
- Proficiency in both Lusoga and English languages is essential for effective communication with students.
- Must be residing within Bugweri District or Iganga or Bugiri District respectively.
- Immediate availability to start work is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans and practical sessions in accordance with the curriculum guidelines.
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students to facilitate their learning and skill development.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations and feedback sessions.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes creativity, innovation, and collaboration.
- Collaborate with program coordinators and fellow instructors to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the vocational training program.

The deadline for submitting applications is 15th May 2024, at 2:00pm Kampala Time. Note that Female Instructors are most preferred though Male Instructors can still submit their Applications. Early applications are encouraged, as we will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis until the positions are filled.
