Twogere Uniting Communities Against GBV/VE According to the National demographic data from 2020 reveal revealed that annually, 13% of women aged 15 to 49 report experiencing sexual violence which translates to more than 1 million women exposed to sexual violence every year in Uganda. The Twogere: Uniting Communities against Gender Based Violence and Violent Extremism is a critical initiative implemented by Wilmat Development Foundation, with a focus on addressing GBV and Violent Extremism by promoting community active participation of Youth and Women in the Community-led development affairs. This initiative aims at empowering Young Women, Youth, to actively participate in GBV prevention processes, demand and advocate for their rights and welfare.
