Vocational Skilling of Young Persons
Uganda, like many developing countries, faces high levels of youth unemployment. Vocational skilling equips young people with practical skills that are in demand in the job market, increasing their chances of finding gainful employment. These trainings are particularly beneficial for marginalized groups such as young women, refugees, and persons with disabilities, providing them with opportunities for economic empowerment and social inclusion with the skills needed to secure better-paying jobs or start their own businesses. This can have a ripple effect, improving living standards and reducing reliance on social welfare programs.
